ReCreateIt
Turning waste into opportunity through creativity, innovation, and community. Supported by the National Science Foundation, ReCreateIt transforms discarded materials into useful products, educational experiences, and sustainable solutions that inspire a more circular future.
Material
We use recycled polypropylene (PP), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and low-density polyethylene (LDPE) sourced from items donated to the Austin ReStore.
Machine
Our large scale industrial 3D printers, manufactured by re:3D, empower our community to re-envision plastic waste into functional products to meet local needs.
Process
We collect, sort, and granulate plastic waste on site and print using Fused Granular Fabrication (FGF), reducing processing steps, transportation emissions, and material waste.
Impact
Our work helps reduce landfill waste, advances recycled-plastic 3D printing research, and supports affordable housing efforts thoughout central Texas.

Need a Custom Design?
We can design and 3D print custom parts for your needs at an affordable cost. Because our machines and recycled materials have certain limitations, we encourage you to learn more about our process before deciding whether it is the right fit for your project.
