Our Space and Equipment

Gigalab
The Gigalab is a modified and climate controlled shipping container that stores the Gigabot, plastic granulator, and all necessary tools for processing and 3D printing with recycled plastics. It is designed to be capable of powering itself through wind or solar (We opt for solar power here in sunny Austin), or through generators in off grid settings, with the goal of providing a local solution to plastic waste and community needs.
The Bots
These pellet extrusion based printers are capable or printing with virgin and recycled plastic pellets, as well as reground, failed 3D prints, increasing the useful life of plastic generated and used within a community. The large build volume paired with the capabilities of printing with pellets allow for the printing of many parts or large parts, while being faster and cheaper than traditional filament based printers.
